Tiny Frog and English Class

This morning right around daybreak - when it was just getting light but it was still shadowy, I saw a wee tiny frog hopping around half way up the back steps when it disappeared behind a potted plant. At that moment I realized that the chirping I had heard for the last couple of days was from talkative frogs, not crickets.
I enjoy the early morning - I go out and listen to the birds and try to wake up while the coffee is brewing. After I get some morning air I grab a mug of joe, scan the paper, read the funnies and work both crosswords. Then I either get ready for work or watch TV until the town is awake.
Today I had lunch at Crispers with my boss. We talked about nothing in particular and it was fun and a really nice change of pace. The rest of the day went pretty fast because I had a 30 minute meeting to break up the routine.
Tonight was the first night of class. I'm taking English Composition II this time around. I haven't had an English class in 20 years. I think that I'll do OK. It depends a lot on my interpretation of what the teacher is asking for. We shall see how it goes. It shouldn't be too tough, considering that I not only take one class at a time, I take one class a year. :o)
After this term I will have only 2 math classes to complete to get my AA degree in Liberal Arts. I picked that with the intention of entering a degree program in Anthropology/Archaeology and Preservation so I can play with old stuff. Or I can become a math zombie for a few years so I can get into quantum physics. When they explain that stuff in layman’s terms I find it fascinating - black holes, quasars, multiple dimensions, time mechanics... You name it; I want to learn about it.
It is officially my weekend and I'm going to Ormond Beach for an anniversary and birthday dinner with some old friends on Friday then back to Lakeland on Saturday for my weekly movie night with the guys. I guess by then it will be time to start cracking the books and learn about wordcrafting.
You thought that this was going to be about someone letting loose a frog in English Class, didn't you?
OK, then. So you won't be disappointed about not having a frog story I'll post a little joke.
This 81 year old man was out fishin' one day and he hears this voice say, "Pick me up."
He looks around and doesn't see anyone. He thinks to himself, "I must be hearing things" then he heard it again, "Pick me up".
He looks down over the side of the boat and sees a frog looking at him. "Izzat you talkin' ta me?", he asks the frog mockingly. To his surprise the frog said, "Yes. Pick me up. Kiss me and I'll turn into a beautiful woman and will satisfy your every desire".
The man picks up the frog and looks at her thoughtfully and stuffs her in his shirt pocket.
The frog asks, "Why don't you kiss me so I can satisfy your desires?"
The man answers with a wide grin, "Honey, at my age a talking frog is worth a lot more to me than what you're talking about".
